
The mission of the Columbus Community Foundation is to build goodwill and financial support for Columbus Community Hospital. By working together, the hospital and foundation ensure that we are able to offer high-quality health care, close to home.
Columbus Community Hospital was able to privately fund a Construction/Renovation project on the campus. Through the generous donations from the Columbus Community Hospital System Foundation the project was made possible.
The Columbus Medical Clinic received additions to the primary services and specialty services. The Professional Services Clinic was renovated to provide visiting physicians office spaces. The Columbus Community Hospital Wellness Center is a new construction giving access to a Fitness Center, Physical Therapy and an Orthopedic Clinic.
The Columbus Community Hospital complex received renovations in the surgery department, emergency room, cafeteria, lab and additional departments within the hospital.

The Columbus Community Hospital Foundation was established April 27, 1987. The Foundation purpose shall be:
The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to receive and maintain a fund or funds of real or personal property, or both, and, subject to the restrictions and limitations set forth, to use and apply the whole or any part of in the income therefrom and the principal thereof exclusively for the operation of a tax-exempt supporting organization under the 509 (a) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to be operated in connection with the Columbus Community Hospital of Columbus, TX.
To provide aid to the Columbus Community Hospital through direct monetary assistance and grants, through operation of and assistance in the provision of health services for persons residing in the service area of Columbus Community Hospital, and through operation of and assistance to activities to improve the delivery of health care, the health status and the general welfare of person residing in the service area of CCH.
Columbus Community Hospital is a 501 C3 non profit independent community hospital that operates without a county or hospital district and is one of the largest employers in the area; the hospital has provided more than $5.4 million in charity patient care, and is recognized amongst the top hospitals nationwide on multiple occasions and is not designated as a tax district and collects no tax funds.
In the year 2010, the Columbus Community Hospital Foundation received a monetary donation of $20,000,000 from an anonymous donor. Over the years, this donation has grown to provide stability to the Columbus Community Hospital.

Planned giving: This includes bequests, life insurance policies, charitable remainder trusts and IRAs. Estate gifts often represent the most significant donations the foundation receives. Knowing we are part of your estate plan allows us to communicate with you about the hospital, naming rights and more.
Major gifts: Gifts of $5,000 and greater are considered major gifts. In these situations, the foundation will request your permission to recognize your name or the name of your choosing. This permits us to thank you for your generosity and inspire others to follow your example.
You can be assured that your contributions are managed and invested wisely and that your charitable wishes are appreciated.
You may contribute any amount to any Foundation existing fund with a direct gift, or by adding the foundation to your estate plan. The Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of real estate, appreciated stock, U.S. Savings Bonds, collections, etc.
