EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH CARE

A Tradition of Advancing Health in the Columbus Region

Columbus Community Hospital is a 40-bed, acute care medical and surgical facility recognized throughout the community for its service and excellence. Columbus provides its patients the best that advanced technology has to offer combined with the warm personalized care of a hometown facility.

For three years running, the National Rural Health Association has named CCH a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital in the country. In 2021, NRHA named CCH a Top 20 Rural and Community Hospital.

Our patients can expect “your health matters” continuity of care administered in a caring and friendly environment by dedicated professionals wholly committed to serving them. As one of largest employers in Columbus, CCH also contributes to the economic health of the surrounding area. CCH’s not-for-profit community ownership ensures that resources are committed to improving quality of care in conjunction with meeting the health care needs of Columbus and the surrounding area.

HISTORY

In February 1950, CCH opened its doors as a non-profit community hospital with 21 beds. Since that time, we have grown with the needs of the community, and today we have 40 beds with 16 active physicians on our medical staff as well as physicians providing services in a consulting capacity. We are considered an acute care hospital employing over 175 people.

James Vanek serves as the hospital CEO, with oversight provided by a Board of Trustees comprised of members of the community who donate their time and energies.
