Laboratory Staff
The Columbus Community Hospital Laboratory is staffed by experienced and licensed Medical Laboratory Scientists and our amazing phlebotomy team. The laboratory provides routine and emergency diagnostic services 24 hours a day.
Our Sysmex system offers proven and innovative fluorescent flow cytometry to deliver a highly comprehensive CBC and Differential which includes Leukopoietic indicators – Immature granulocytes every differential, Reticulocytes and body Fluid Analysis.
Roche Cobas Pro, an integrated high speed analytical system produces clinical chemistry analysis and immunochemistry that performs a broad range of immunoassay such as ‘high sensitivity Troponin, 4th generation HIV Antigen and Antibody testing, Thyroid panels, Hepatitis, Procalcitonin and NT-proBNP.
Comprehensive Microbiology department provides an expansive range of cultures with Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility testing. Multiple Molecular systems (BioMerieux and Cepheid) are utilized for respiratory, Gastrointestinal and body fluid DNA analysis.
Multiple EIA tests; Influenza, HCG, Mono, RSV
Storage of Blood units and blood Products (FFP). We provide both Gel and Tube method to meet the demands of transfusion needs.
