May 6 – 12 is National Nurses Week, a time to celebrate the nurses who advance the health and safety of our community.
Every year, National Nurses Week takes place during the week of Florence Nightingale’s birthday to celebrate the health care professionals who embody Nightingale’s tireless efforts to better patients’ lives.
Nightingale’s efforts laid the groundwork for modern nursing, and today, nurses represent the backbone of Columbus Community Hospital. From performing routine blood draws to managing emergencies, nurses perform their duties with excellence and poise, each and every day.
Nurses’ array of essential care duties cross a variety of medical disciplines, and a strong nursing team is crucial for the success of any health care organization. Beyond providing care, nurses spend a significant amount of time educating and supporting patients and their families who trust Columbus Community Hospital for their care.
From inpatient services to surgery to our outpatient clinics, our nurses’ tireless dedication to our patients enables us to provide the best care possible to the Columbus region.
