July 7, 2021 (Columbus, TX) – Columbus Community Hospital officially kicked off construction on the new Columbus Community Hospital Wellness Center July 7 in a special ceremony hosting hospital officials and staff.
The construction site is located near the hospital at 110 Shult Avenue in Columbus and once completed will include number of amenities for patients as well as the public.
As a state-of-the-art facility, the Wellness Center will offer expanded physical therapy resources, exercise equipment, cardiac rehabilitation services, walking track, pool, physician office space, and community education classrooms, including a demonstration kitchen.
“Columbus Community Hospital is proud to serve our growing community,” said James Vanek, CEO, Columbus Community Hospital. “The Wellness Center is just one of our expansion initiatives taking place this year and next, all with the goal of ensuring that we can continue to meet the health and wellness needs of everyone in our community.”

Construction on the Wellness Center should be completed by June 2022.
