November 16 is National Rural Health Day, an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedicated health providers working to meet the unique health care needs of the more than 60 million Americans living in rural communities.
National Rural Health Day was founded in 2011 by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health to highlight the innovative approaches and community-driven efforts of the more than 12,000 rural hospitals and clinics across the country.
Despite serious challenges such as staffing shortages, accessibility issues, and caring for aging populations, rural health leaders are adapting to create new ways to care for their communities. From embracing telehealth solutions to expanding in-home care options and increasing patient education efforts, rural providers are pioneering innovative care solutions to overcome the unique challenges their communities are facing.
Columbus Community Hospital is deeply committed to meeting the care needs of our community. From expanding and renovating our facilities for future growth to wellness resources and high quality maternity care, we’re keeping more patients in Columbus for their care and investing in a healthier future for our community.
