Columbus Community Hospital purchased new, advanced imaging equipment with proceeds from its 2024 Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction. The new equipment will primarily be used by the surgical and maternity care teams but will also be used in the emergency department and other areas of the hospital.
“The community’s generous donations made the purchase of advanced imaging equipment possible,” said James Vanek, Columbus Community Hospital CEO. “This advanced equipment will enhance the patient experience and level of care our fantastic care teams can provide for years to come.”
The new imaging equipment includes:
- C-Arm machine: Flexible and mobile X-ray device used during surgeries to provide surgery teams with high-resolution images in real time.
- Bedside ultrasound machine: Portable ultrasound machine that will be used by OBGYN, emergency room, and surgery teams throughout the facility to minimize stress and unnecessary movement for patients.
- 3D ultrasound machine: Creates a high-resolution 3D scan so parents can “meet” their baby before they are born.
Every donation to Columbus Community Hospital represents an investment in the health and wellness of the entire Columbus community.
